Visual neuroprostheses and sight restoration

Clinical research participation in competitive national and international projects developing cortical interfaces and visual neuroprostheses for people with blindness.

Within CORTIVIS, Dr Pablo González-López coordinates the neurosurgical team responsible for planning and implantation. This line of research has studied a robot-assisted, neuronavigation-guided technique for implanting microelectrode arrays through a minimally invasive approach.
